Who are we?
The Acadia Women in Business Society (AWIBS) is a student-led society within the Manning School of Business that aims to create a supportive community for women interested in pursuing careers in business. AWIBS will provide opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional development through various workshops, speaker panels, and events.
Our Mission
The mission of AWIBS is to create a supportive community for women interested in pursuing careers in business. We aim to empower young women by providing them with the inspiration and resources needed to achieve success within the business world. We believe in the importance of diversity, inclusion, and gender equality, and are committed to creating a platform where women can thrive and make meaningful contributions to the business community. Join us as we continue our journey to inspire and empower the next generation of female business leaders.

All are welcome to join Acadia Women in Business Society. We have members across various disciplines, and we welcome those within the BBA program as well as those studying other degrees who are looking to empower women in business.
Panels and events are targeted towards various industries. We have partnered with lawyers, medical professionals, military personnel, and others, we are always open to creating opportunities for everyone to learn and gain knowledge from our events.
