BBA with Major in Employment Relations

BBA students have the option to complete a major in the functional discipline of Employment Relations. The Employment Relations major prepares students to appreciate employment relationships in a variety of organizational settings, and from a variety of perspectives. It is a multi-disciplinary program that incorporates alternative perspectives such as the psychological, sociological, historical, legal, and economic bases of the employment relationship. Graduates will have a much deeper appreciation of the nature of paid work, its meaning and outcomes in an advanced industrial economy. In addition, some of our students will want to pursue graduate work, such as a master's degree in one of several disciplines including human resource management, industrial relations, or employment relations. Some students may even decide on a career in law or education. NOTE: Students who wish to choose a major would normally declare their major during their second year.
