Call for Advisory Board Members

The Advisory Board of the FC Manning School of Business is accepting applications for new members. Those elected will serve one 3-year term, with a limit of no more than three consecutive terms.
Applications should be addressed to the Director of the FC Manning School of Business, Dr. Kristin S. Williams via email at kristin.williams@acadiau.ca by May 1. Applications should include a detailed cover letter and current curriculum vitae. Non-alumni candidates are welcome to apply.
The nominating committee will review applications and shortlist candidates. A slate of recommended candidates will be presented to the advisory board for approval by the current members. New advisory board members will assume office at the next Advisory Board meeting.
Priority will be given to alumni and candidates with experience in the following areas:
- Business Law
- Generative AI in Business
- Equity Diversity and Inclusion
- Business Development & Fundraising
- Industries such as Transportation, Financial Services, Telecom, Public Utilities, Economic Development
- Distinctly Regional Businesses
About the Advisory Board
The purpose of the FC Manning School of Business Advisory Board is threefold: (1) to provide advice to the School on matters of policy and programming, (2) to provide the School with links to Atlantic, National and International business leaders and alumni of the School and (3) to enhance the School’s profile in the public and business community.
Further, the Advisory Board has identified two strategic priorities: (1) fundraising in support of the Manning Enrichment Fund and Impact Award, and (2) Student excellence through the support of student societies and other mentorship opportunities.
About the FC Manning School of Business
The FC Manning School of Business is home to over 600 students from over 20 countries and to over 30 full-time and part-time faculty members from a variety of academic and professional backgrounds. The School features small classes and rich interaction between students and faculty. The Bachelor of Business Administration program is challenging and flexible, allowing students to pursue a broad range of interests, across six majors. Our courses exploit innovative uses of technology, and our students have opportunities to learn outside of the classroom through international exchanges, co-op, and projects with local enterprises. Our graduates have secured positions with some of the world’s most prestigious organizations, and many have pursued further study at esteemed institutions, earning advanced degrees such as the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB), or professional designations (CPA).
