by Kennie, Nathan
The School of Business hosted its 54th Annual Acadia Business Banquet on October 17. The keynote address was delivered by Business School Alumni Savior Joseph (’02). His address was titled Privilege and Responsibility,
which received a standing ovation at its conclusion. Mr. Joseph was identified by Acadia University Connections Magazine as one of twenty extraordinary Acadia alumni. While pursuing a BBA degree, he excelled at leadership, communications and athletics, especially basketball, serving as captain and awarded MVP during his years as part of the Acadia Axemen. Other people recognized at the banquet were Dahlia Chahine, who won the Advisory Board Impact Award, and Peyton Baird who won the John Hugh Robinson Scholarship. Serving as the kick-off for Homecoming, the banquet is the premier social event in the School, attended by alumni, faculty, and administration, including President Ricketts and Nancy McCain, Chair of the Campaign for Acadia. Of this year’s effort, Banquet Chair and BBA student Bailey Darling said, "I am pleased to say the banquet was a success and I couldn't be more happy with the outcome."
