Dr. Yinglei Wang joined F.C. Manning School of Business upon receiving his Ph.D. from Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Before becoming an academic, he worked in the IT industry in the area of ERP and CRM solutions.
His research focuses on the interaction between information technology and individuals — adopting the behavioral approach, he investigates how individuals adapt to and leverage contemporary technologies in organizational settings. He has pursued a number of research interests in light of this overall theme, including virtual organizations, knowledge management, e-commerce, and information technology diffusion. His work has been published in leading scholarly journals such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, and Information Systems Journal.
Dr. Wang was awarded a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) research grant to study digital skills in virtual settings. He was also a recipient of the 2011 Harrison McCain Foundation Emerging Scholar Award and the 2012 Faculty of Professional Studies Research Excellence Award.
