ACADIA ALERT - Campus Closed - Monday January 26, 2026

Acadia University will be closed on Monday January 26, 2026 due to expected weather conditions.

All classes are cancelled for the day. Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Residence buildings will be accessible, and Wheelock Dining Hall will be open but at reduced hours.

Bio

Dr. Stephen MacLean joined the F.C. Manning School of Business Administration on a full-time basis in 2016 after having developed extensive teaching experience prior to his full-time appointment. Stephen received his Ph.D. in Finance from Queen’s University in 2010 and holds an MBA from Saint Mary’s University as well as two undergraduate degrees from Mount Allison University.

Stephen has obtained extensive industry experience throughout his career, having worked in the oil and gas industry as well as for one of Atlantic Canada’s largest pension funds. His applicable experiences include portfolio management, cash and short-term debt management, foreign exchange trading and investment risk management.

Stephen’s primary research interests draw from his industry experiences. These include portfolio allocation and investment risk measurement and management.
