ACADIA ALERT - Campus Closed - Monday January 26, 2026

Acadia University will be closed on Monday January 26, 2026 due to expected weather conditions.

All classes are cancelled for the day. Employees and students are not expected to come to campus and only employees deemed essential are required to report to work. Non-essential employees are not expected to work during the closure. Residence buildings will be accessible, and Wheelock Dining Hall will be open but at reduced hours.

Bio

Ian Feltmate is the longest-serving faculty member of the Manning School of Business. Now in his thirty-third year, Ian has championed the use of technology in the classroom throughout his educational career. In 2004, he was the co-recipient of First Prize in the Canadian Academic Accounting Association's annual Innovative Teaching Competition. The prize was awarded for the World Baseball League, a management game developed by Ian where teams of students manage professional baseball teams and compete against one another for financial supremacy. In 1999, Ian received the Outstanding Teaching Award for Acadia's Faculty of Professional Studies.
